Samurai windshield wiper motor problem.....?

Alright, i got a new windshield frame for my samurai because of some rust issues with the old one. Anyway, i pulled the windshield wiper motor from the old one to put onto the new one. I installed it, and tried to test it but nothing happened. I pulled the motor so it was completely free from the frame to see if it was just locking up, and then retested it and still nothing?? Is it possible the motor died moving it from one windshield to another?
