Can i afford a car or a truck working part time for minimum wage?

I'm 17, turning 18 in march, and i was wondering what the maximum price for a car or truck that i could afford working part time minimum wage. All of my money is going to gas and car payments and my parents will take care of the rest of the expenses like insurance and repairs. i was thinking maybe i could afford an 2005 Ford F-150 Fx4 @ $14,000 or a 2005 Dodge Charger SXT @ around $11,500. I'm currently driving a 1993 Ford Ranger that's valued around $2,000. Would this make a good down payment? Any feedback would really help.
